IMDG (Dangerous Goods by Sea) Re-certification

Course Description

This 1 day course is designed to re-certify/update those who have undertaken the IMDG full acceptance course for a further 2 years from previous course

Including

  • Applicability of AMSA regulations
  • Systematic use of International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code
  • Classification of dangerous articles and substances
  • Identification of Proper Shipping Names
  • Packing, marking and labelling
  • Documentation
  • Handling  

Who Should Attend:

Those who have undertaken a previous 2 day Full Acceptance IMDG Course and are re-certifying/updating their accreditation

Validity:

The IMDG Code changes every two years and your accreditation is only valid whilst the edition of the IMDG (International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code) in which you have been trained is effective.

The current edition IMDG Code 2014 (Amendments 37-14) is only valid until 31st December 2017 and then will be superseded by the new edition IMDG Code 2016 (Amendments 38-16) which comes into effect on 1st January 2018 for two years.

It is very important for you remain accredited you must complete a Refresher (Recertification) course by 31st December 2017 in preparation for the code change.

For those who haven't completed a previous AFIF Course, evidence of previous training is required
